Beginning in January, 2010, the Florida Addictions Institute will offer real-time, online learning. Classes will be held Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with the instructor present. Students will have many opportunities to interact with the instructor and with each other.

The Florida Addictions Institute’s SAC 101: Substance Abuse: Causes and Treatment, begins January 5, 2010. Taught by A.W. “Chic” Bancroft, this class gives a comprehensive historical overview of substance abuse causes and treatments.

A computer with a sound card is required to take this class.

One of the best things to do during the holiday season is to get adequate exercise. Whether you find the time throughout the rest of the year to exercise or not, the holidays are a great time to start a new routine! Sure, it is also the time that your determination and will power will be tested the most.

Not only does a great exercise program during the holidays help you maintain your weight. But it is also a great way to reduce stress that holidays can often bring upon you.
